The media could not be loaded. Before I could move the roof over my kitten was on it straight away and exploring. Very nice little hide away for him. And provides shade in the summer. I’ve also added some fairy lights too it. I painted it as wanted it to match my garden theme. It appears to be waterproof, quality of wood is good and it’s sturdy. I did find it tricky to assemble but that may just be me and my ADHD brain as instructions weren’t clear to me. I like the size of it, he has lots of room to spread out and I think it’s good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Although it is very sturdy, it was difficult to assemble due to the poor cut and finish to the wooden prices. I have not been using this outside but as the wood appears untreated I would coat with some shed paint or wood treatment beforehand.

Awful

I have the stars on this because of customer service they noted the review and have fed back to the department. What could be improved? So maybe when you come towards this you won’t have the same issues. I’ve had great customer service. Poor instructions, bits that aren’t labelled, no labels on any of the screws. The wood is splitting and have had to use filler to rectify. 2hours and 17 mins and still haven’t finished. Very poor quality wood there’s not swear you’re meant to screw and they’re not splitting when you screw into it. It’s a shame because overall this product looked perfect for my cats for the garden but now I wish I hadn’t bothered buying it.

I was very unimpressed by the standard of this. There are pen marks on pieces, over spilling glue, rough and splintering wood and finish that looks like it’s been sprayed on unevenly. The inside floor of the hut isn’t fixed in, and doesn’t fit the frame properly. It looks like a school project! I would have abandoned putting it together to return but my daughter has already written a name sign over the door for her pet.

Easy to build, but some holes were bored in wrong spots, not a big issue. Roof needs some silicone on joints for extra waterproof and would be good paint it with shed paint, as i dont believe factory coat will last longer than one season. Overall perfect for its price.

I love this cat house! I just received it today, and it was very easy to assemble. It came with the screwdriver it takes to do the job. The stray cats outside love it and started using it right away. I may have to buy another one because they actually started fighting over who gets to stay in it! It's big enough for one cat (or two cats if they really like each other). It's super cute, feels very solid, and smells great. It has that yummy cedar smell! I have yet to test in the heavy rains here, but I hope it will hold up well and keep the kitties dry. I lined the bottom of the inside hidey-hole with styrofoam included in the packaging, and placed a cozy fleece blanket over it. Very good kitty hut for the price!

The instructions to this were so vague and lacking steps. By looking at the pieces I was able to figure it out. The bottom part where a cat will sleep is not stable and easily collapses. I had to reinforce the bottom with stronger wood. I also painted mine so that it will last longer outdoors. The wood is lightweight and thin. I have a chicken coop made of same material and it lasted only 5 years outside before falling apart. Without flaps or insulation I don't know how warm this thin wood box will be in the winter. I added straw and foam on the inside for warmth. I also had to reinforce the stairs so that it would not break off with one cat walking up it. If you know how to reinforce and add coat of wood stain it's a good buy.

The media could not be loaded. The kit arrived with two pieces (the latticed ones) broken. I reported this to Aosom, and they send another kit, which also had two pieces broken, but they were different ones, so I was able (with difficulty) to construct the cat house. These are the problems I ran into: Labels for parts I and J were reversed in the instructions. Some screws were not long enough to get a solid grip. The holes on Part I were on the right side, but holes on the left side were needed -- I took the corresponding part from the first shipment, which had the holes correctly placed on the left side. Bolt A5 was not long enough -- the end of the bolt was flat against the post on the side of the cat house, so there was no way the nut could be placed on it. The ceiling pieces had pegs to fit into holes on the top strips, but on one top strip one of the holes was about 1/4" out of place, so the pegs could not be fitted into the holes. So, overall they have terrible quality control and inadequate packing, but I did manage to get the cat house put together and it had an occupant within hours.

The media could not be loaded. The main picture promoting this thing has pieces that are labeled with stickers. So, I thought I was going to get a product that had labeled pieces like the picture. Wrong. Not one damn piece is labeled. You have these horrible instructions with pictures that hardly makes sense. Putting this together was an absolute nightmare. I never would’ve bought it had I known the instructions were awful and pieces were not labeled. I had to put things together and take them off multiple times. Why promote this with having label pieces when you’re going to send it out with no labeled pieces?! Seems a little dishonest to me I did look at the measurements before I bought it but it is still very small. Only big enough for one 10 pound cat. Putting it together was also messy. Millions of pieces of little Styrofoam all over the place as well as dirt. I will get a tarp to cover the top of it to keep the rain out. I bought it because it was cheaper than the other ones but….Be careful what you buy. I would’ve been better off buying something bigger and easier to assemble.
