I absolutely love these houses for our guinea pigs. I have two of the bigger sets attached together and two canvas liners underneath. They are so easy to put together and extend or shorten as needed. Our two girls love being able to look out and it’s made their world so much bigger. The Perspex is easy to disinfect and wipes dry without streaks. Mine don’t chew but there is nothing for them to chew on if yours do. I do have one of the metal brackets that’s gone rusty, I can only assume some cleaner got trapped. Luckily my girls aren't jumpers so I can have it without a lid and have a Happy Henry platform at each end, with some second height panels added for safety. I don’t use the liners, just the canvas ones with fleece on top. Definitely Guinea pig approved, and by us too ❤️

This cage has made cleaning so much easier. I use mats but sometimes it still goes along the side. So glad there are two layers of waterproof paper which can be disposed of easily. I just sweep & bin!

***IMPORTANT - two days after moving in Blossom decided to let herself out and promptly hopped over the wall! It's ok as they're on the floor but if they were on a raised surface it could be fatal. Please use a lid if you keep your pigs on a table*** Edit (a few weeks later): after having this for a few days I realised it was far too small so I bought the DIY height and side panels, which don't include extra brackets and screws so you also have to buy those. In total with all the extra bits I had to buy this whole set up cost me about £200. But with the extra height, and one more panel on each side the habitat is now a far more suitable size for two guinea pigs and we are all very happy (if less financially comfortable!) My piggies really love this now it's bigger and they really enjoy being able to see everything, they are far more relaxed and don't get startled by me walking past. (Original) This is a really lovely habitat, quite easy to assemble though having to peel off the plastic from both sides of every panel is horrible and there was far too much plastic used in the packing. I was able to fit the normal water bottles. I did buy the special bottle from Guinea Loft but returned it after the girls tried to use it a few times vut then ignored it. It seems they didn't like the shape of the spout. I also got the lid, which broke immediately and needed some clever repair work and strips of clear duct tape to reinforcing the hinges as this is where it snaps. I have ordered the separate door panel as I like to let my piglets out every day, this comes from America so will take a few weeks. I had C&C previously which was horrible and got very dirty and chewed, this is much nicer for pigs and looks lovely. However, I will need to be very gentle with it as it does seem to be quite brittle, the support struts for the lid will help but a misplaced foot could easily crack it.

I've always wanted something more aesthetically pleasing and was so excited finding this. Although it's the same size as their old cage it feels so much bigger, they seem really happy and it's so easy to clean which is going to just make life easier when you're busy.

Well I'm thoroughly disappointed with this product , so much so that I sent it back. It's just not appropriate for piggy use. The panels themselves are sturdy but when connected together they don't feel like they could withstand a lot of rapid movements. There isn't a flooring on this cage , but it comes with *paper* sheets to put down, not ideal because alot of people keep their guinea pigs on floor level . The size of the run/room for the pigs hardly seems big enough. You could house one piggy in here. I built this product up and was instantly bothered by the heigh of the panels. Pigs like to popcorn and they can most certainly be adventurous. Really it hasn't been built with guinea pigs in mind. All the accessories are too expensive as well. I get that it's customisable but it would cost a bit to build it up to be sufficient for a pig. I wouldn't waste your time if you're considering this for guinea pigs. What a shame as well cos it's aesthetically pleasing to look at.

We bought this for our two hamsters due to our hamster constantly chewing on the previous wire cage we had and how difficult it was to clean them. The petsmart cages have many faults and we spent a lot of money on them, despite how cute the cages are they are not a real fit. This product was very easy to put together. We love the aesthetics of this home. It also came with a few waterproof bottoms. I did buy a pack also. Our hamsters are very happy and we no longer have to listen to the squeaky wheel every night as they now have a stand alone wheel (not pictured) that makes no noise at all. We are very very happy and recommend this home. Before we had to take the hamsters out of our daughter’s room at night and now they are so quiet they can stay in her room and she loves that.

The BEST bird cage out there. I was so tired of the ugly look of my old wire cage, and this new clear cage allows me to see my budgies so easily! And there is also no poop or food fallout around the sides of the cage— I used to have to sweep multiple times a day to deal with that when I had my wire cage. It’s spacious, easy to clean, beautiful, and on top of that my birds love it! They seem so much happier interacting with each other in here. Awesome product!

I'm a long-time pig owner and have tried a lot of cages over the years (C&C, midwest, custom etc). I wanted to wait a few weeks of trying the GuineaLoft out before reviewing, and I've gotta say I LOVE this cage! ROOMY & MODULER: Great size for a pair of pigs. The walls are straight up so you get every inch of the 2x4' size. I'll be getting a second one soon-- it would be easy to attach a pair of them, and I just saw that official connector hardware is coming out too. I like that this is an evolving product really designed to meet the needs of pigs and those who love them. SHORT, CLEAR WALLS: The acrylic walls are crystal clear with little slots on the upper halves for pigs to lean on for the very important task of begging for treats. The walls are 10" tall which I find to be tall enough that they can't jump out (and I do have a jumper) and low enough that it's still easy for my 5'3" self to reach in and play with them/clean even with the cage 3' off the ground. I absolutely love that I can see the girls going about their little business with no coroplast in the way. It's like a whole new view into their lives. Anecdotally, this also seems to work in reverse-- I have two pigs who are extremely shy, and I honestly think they've been a bit less jumpy being in here, possibly because they can see me coming. EASY TO CLEAN: A proprietary liner system gave me pause when considering this purchase, but honestly I love it, and it will work with your preferred bedding. The cage liner has two parts-- the mat, which goes under everything to catch spills, and the cage bottom, which is the waterproof part that the pigs and their mess come in contact with. I've used the same mat for almost 3 weeks, because NOTHING gets past the disposable bottom! You could probably go without it, but it does catch mess from taking pigs out, adding hay, etc. You won't NEED to replace this often, but you can also toss it to make for even easier cleanup. As for the cage bottoms, they are great-- it even handled the mess of 4 pigs for a few days without any leakage, puddles, or smell. I have physical constraints that make fabric liner maintenance tough for me, so I love that I can use shavings, roll it up and toss it; to me, the cost of the replacements is worth it for the ease and accessibility. That said, there's no reason this wouldn't work with your preferred fleece or bath mat setup, which would further extend the life of the cage bottom. I found I've had to use less bedding, which has offset the cost of liners a bit. You could probably clean and reuse the cage bottoms a few times due to the waterproofing. The cage came with some wet wipes, but a damp cloth will get the walls perfectly clean with almost no effort. Not sure how this will play out in the long term with micro-scratches from normal daily wear and tear (which happens to any cage), but so far so good. AFFORDABLE: Amazing price for a cage of this size. There is the recurring cost of the liners, but as mentioned above, you can mitigate these costs if money is an issue. LOOKS GREAT: No shade to C&C cages, but personally I've always really disliked how they look, and they're not even the "ugliest" of the appropriately sized cages. Obviously making sure the piggies have a proper home is Priority #1, so I've just "dealt" with having cages I find to be an eyesore-- no more! I'm thrilled to have something that is good for my girls and also looks nice in my home. I'll be replacing my second cage with another GuineaLoft soon. CONSIDERATIONS: The cage feels sturdy for what it is (a thin acrylic frame with no bracing back/bottom) and the included hardware is obviously good quality, but I still have concerns about breakage over the long term, since the cage does flex dangerously when I move it to clean. This might be an issue of my technique. The cage system doesn't currently have options for storage/stands, so if you'll need your own stand if you'd like to have the cage off the ground. It also has no loft/second floor option at present. TLDR/CONCLUSION: A fantastic pig enclosure! I'm so glad I found this and took the chance on it, and I absolutely recommend it.
